A Day At The Zoo

Saturday we had a fun filled afternoon at the zoo with our neighbors. These guys have been so great for little L. A naturally cautious child, the three older girls have given her people to follow and keep up with.

It seems that the highlights of the zoo this time were not the animals, but the jumping castle (that they had all to themselves!), riding the donkeys and playing on the "play area."

Ella, patiently waiting for her turn. She is getting so much better at "sharing" the zoo donkeys!

Robert was cracking some pretty funny jokes (he thought) as he stood around watching Steve do all the work

Finally, the little Montana cowgirl gets her turn on Steve

Last but not least, Halaina on Steve

After the donkey rides the kids roared off to play area. Now the play area is a bit interesting in that it's BIG and requires quite a bit of adult help for anyone under 10 years old.

Sophia did a little bit better because her arms were longer than the other kids

The merry-go-round. I love Madeline's expression!

Then we had "The Meeting of The Mama Monkeys." There were swarms of monkey families hanging out by the picnic tables and jumping castle, rolling around playing in the grass, picking through and playing with trash, chasing each other, picking fleas from each other and relaxing.

Um... not sure ;)

What's funny is to see Ella march right through a bunch of monkey's without even giving them a second look, on her way to the jumping castle. To her, seeing monkeys all around is totally normal!
