Birthday Boy!

Yup, it's that time of year - when Frank turns six and has his four year homecoming anniversary! Where have the last four years gone? What happened to my moody little baby boy? He's grown up, that's what, and while still a sensitive little chap, he's not moody anymore and has BIG TEETH! He went from baby, to little boy, to BIG boy all too fast!

We combined his birthday party with our friends who were also having a birthday party, at the pool. My friend has 9 kids so just our two families alone make a pretty good party! Our friend Kaiden was turning 11 and let us crash his party ;)

 Birthday boys, 11 and 6
Opening presents always draws a crowd!
Mint Oreo Cake (made by my amazing friend!) and banana cupcakes - baked by Sarah and frosted by me ;)
Birthday Boys blowing out the candles!
 Serving the delicious cake!
Boys eating and punching (???) each other
Girls chowin' down on their cake too
Can you tell who the life of the party was? This little tot is TOO CUTE.

On Frankie's actual birthday (23rd) I picked him up from school (he gets out at one) and took him out on a lunch date, just the two of us. Being the great mom that I am, I had NEVER done this with him before! Okay, maybe once when we were in Montana but then he got his vaccinations afterwards, so that doesn't really count... ;)

Anyhoo, he picked the Ethiopian restaurant (I've brainwashed trained him well!) and then after we went to another restaurant that has the best Brownie Oreo Sundaes EVER! Yeah, after porking out on all that yummy food it almost made me wish that I had more children to take out on their birthdays!

Six years old - practically a man as you can see, as he got an ALVARO PEAR! Just like his mom!
Sort of forgot to get a picture of him with his birthday lunch until we were almost done with it! He was so happy with his Alvaro Pear and chatting that I was the one that ate most of it!
And then.... the famous BROWNIE OREO SUNDAE! With bananas and a cherry. Yes, it's as good as it looks!
A mom, her son, and a Brownie Oreo Sundae
And THEN.... my sister really outdid herself and got this boy an Adroid for his birthday!! WOW!!! Now I just have to figure out how to use it and get some more free educational apps on it.  In my quest to have the most brilliant children around this is my strategy in how to help them achieve my lofty goal ;) Not that Frankie is concerned - he's just happy having @ngry Birds!

What a blessing this little boy is. He just gets funnier and funnier as he gets older and I can truly say is generally a very HAPPY, CHEERFUL little boy. He is NOT the moody/angry toddler that he once was! His sense of humor is blossoming and he can be quite the little smart ass :)

Thank you Lord, for my big boy!
