Parvo SURVIVOR

Little Bill came home yesterday!! Our little PARVO SURVIVOR!! Yes, rather than the corn cob that I had thought might have gotten stuck in his gut after he gulped it down, dear Billy had the puppy killing disease, Parvo. And the amazing thing, thanks to GREAT vetrenary care and being a particularly plucky little pup, Bill has survived! He came home yesterday and is the same old happy Bill, whose joyful energy we've really been missing!

Poor little fellow has lost so much weight that his entire body has shrunk - all but his feet and his ridge that is! He sort of had big feet before but now they look HUGE and his ridge looks really tall too! But we are SOO glad to have our little man back :)

The little lad was opened up to hunt around for a possible obstruction in his gut, so he's sporting some stiches on his tummy.

Skinny boy. But boy is he HUNGRY now! He's being fed a little bit of rice, plain yogurt and canned dog food every two hours so hopefully he'll be able to put a little bit of his wieght back

Before Parvo

A week or so later, after parvo. It ain't fun folks! And we are SOOOO glad our puppy is still alive!

Although thin, he's still his happy, playful little self who was glad to catch up on some play time with Bronco!

Madea was SOOOO glad to have her little brother back and cleaned him all over - especially inside his ears!

They licked and licked each other - Madea would have made an awesome mama!

So, we're praising the Lord that our little Bill is back with us again. We're also thanking Him for a good, affordable vet who gave Bill the absolute best of care. We're in for a much better week I suspect!
