Ella's Stories

We had our friend, Tanya, staying with us for a couple of days en route from Canada to where she works. She is a literacy specialist person so knows all the best ways to get people reading and such. So, while I was at work she sat down with Ella who dictated some stories.

Lets just say that sometimes I am completely amazed by what my children say. They are intuitive and can show some genius type knowledge and qualities. And then other times I hear what is coming from their little heads and I’m like, “Um…. Maybe not so genius…the apples not falling far enough here.” Here are some stories that came out of Ella’s deep, genius little head and thoughts.

Story 1.

Liddy and Danny had a big plan.
So they went to the sheep place.
Liddy said, ‘This is the best sheep ever!’
Danny said, ‘Let me take it home and feed it some warm milk.’
Then Dan said, ‘I have an idea, too! I want to go pick up a dog! This dog is the most perfect dog ever! I like it. I’m going to go home and feed it dog food.’
The End

Um, okay, not bad. Nothing too odd there.

Story 2.

Tom and Jackson had a big fight.
They had a plan.
They were going to do something fun.
They went to meet their pets.
They loved it.
Then, one day, a guy with a rubber band came and said,
‘Hello. This is my friend and would you like to spend the night with me?’
‘Yes,’ he said. And then they became friends again.
The End

ACK!!! What’s this? A man with a rubber band? Who wants Tom and Jackson to spend the night with him? Whoa baby. Yes, we DID live by a bunch of promiscuous Russians but whoa boy, nothing like this!

So yeah, we do see the common theme of um, pets and animals, but what’s with the rubber band and spending the night with the guy who has it? Seriously, I don’t know!

Let me just repeat your own phrase...'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!' :) By the way, I finally found your blog.

LOL! Hilarious (especially when you mentioned the Russians!)!! I hope I don't encounter creepy guys with rubberbands! :)
